Today in class we watched a video of Jane Kaczmarek reading the book Thank you, Mr. Falker written by Patricia Polacco. When I watched this video it made me think of all the struggling readers sitting in our classrooms. It also made me as a teacher want to immediately diagnose what was going on with the main character and why she was having trouble reading.
